I can't understate how good of a job the @inkandswitch.com folks did at this Automerge website. Wow, holy shit automerge.org

And the fact that you can *interact* with the visual demo at the top?

This is the new high bar for a technical website. Holy moly.

Het #NerdVote stemadvies is online! Er is een helder advies, maar het is ook weer niet simpel. Er zijn uitstekende kandidaten die het helaas niet gaan halen. Daarom is het advies strategisch. Reacties zeer welkom! nerdvote.nl

The universal cultural references to 1984/F451 I see in discourse concerns me that either they didn't actually read it (likely) or they've never actually engaged with systemic proclivities it critiques. I wonder how able teens are to engage with this stuff. Not that I doubt they should be.

Everyone involved - and I mean everyone - needs to face criminal charges.

It's obvious that a non-zero number of these girls would commit acts of self harm after seeing those ads - and they went ahead anyway.

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

It is a HUGE red flag any time a CEO says "you will be measured on your ability to implement this unproven technology that we will not be training you on."

But when they say "you'll get AI agents instead of headcount," run the fsck away (do not walk).

The weaponization of US technology companies means we should treat our dependence on them as a national security threat ↘️
So let's get this straight: The U.S. and Elon are now extorting Ukraine and threatening to turn off their Starlink Internet access unless they give their critical rare earth minerals to the United States? Staggering levels of corruption.

The legality (not wisdom) of putting European private data on US clouds hinges on the availability of the US Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board. Trump neutered this board, and the European parliament has taken notice & asked the European Commission what they think:

the list has fast search across all 2^122 values (so you can find your favorites) - hoping to add some social features like "trending UUIDs" soon!

A VERY common circuit is to switch a power source using a signal pin. The ubiquitous solution uses 2 MOSFETs and a couple resistors. (top schematic) This is a very inexpensive solution.
For the Maker, there is an easier solution which only costs a few ¢ more - the load driver IC (eg TPS22919DCKR)
