I am losing it at how many of my peers have forgotten what software engineering is. It is not typing in lines of code.

Munich, of course, famously a great place for British PMs to get an easy win that saves their career.
Yvette Cooper: 'Later this week, Keir Starmer will lead our delegation to the Munich Security Conference. At this crucial time for the world, we need his leadership not just at home but on the global stage, and we need to keep our focus where it matters, on keeping our country safe.'

Idee van techexpert Bert Hubert. Hopelijk krijg ik woensdag de handen hiervoor op elkaar in de Tweede Kamer!!

To clarify, this is an administrative problem, not policy. People will often even invent employers for me, I've been labelled as 'Dutch Intelligence', 'Dutch police', or even as a journalist for a newspaper I once wrote an article for. Or people write down 'PowerDNS' because I founded that in 2000.

Organizations and conferences deal badly with me having no employer or other affiliation. So on badges I often end up working for 'NA' or sometimes even 'null'. Recently I've taken to filling out berthub.eu as my employer and that is working out rather well:

One of the problems with Starmer's triangulation is he is roughly aiming at where the average person but that person doesn't listen to political speeches. And it annoys everyone who does. Then the average person catches the bad vibes.

13/ If Europe wants to build systems that are independent of US big tech it should promote interoperable open source infrastructure rather than specific companies.

This open source infra can then also be used by the rest of the world and Americans who don’t like big tech either
