This is how to do it, kids: Home insurance is now a climate story. Put it on the front, and put "climate change" at the top. Especially now that deniers will control the federal and state government.

People not elected to government should not have the power to reshape the government, especially people whose obscene wealth depends on the government functioning a certain way.

This is not a hot take.

It's just plain common sense.

This we need
Two senators have introduced a constitutional amendment that would establish term limits for Supreme Court justices, a long-shot escalation of the congressional effort to overhaul the nation’s highest court amid ethics scandals and sinking public approval.
Supreme Court term-limits amendment proposed by Sens. Manchin, Welch
The long-shot proposal by Sen. Peter Welch (D-Vermont) and outgoing Sen. Joe Manchin III (I-West Virginia) would impose 18-year term limits on new justices.

Speaking as a nurse and a health care ethicist , our health care system is so broken - but our health care workers are also breaking. Professionals are collapsing under the demands of our capitalism-driven health care system and the associated moral injury. Change can't come fast enough.
Medicaid & Medicare have a 2-3% overhead. For-profit health insurance has a 20% overhead & near unlimited on drug costs.

Both provide the exact same doctors & meds. The only difference is for profit had massive markup to pay for CEO bonuses & private jets.

We need universal healthcare. Period.

UnitedHealth is the largest employer of physicians in the country. It owns pharmacies, primary care clinics, surgical centers, urgent care centers, home health agencies, hospice agencies, mental health agencies, a PBM, an IT division, and a bank.
There's no compartmentalizing available here.
Insurance companies aren’t great or anything but more than virtually anyone else in the health care industry their badness is dictated by pretty ironclad financial and actuarial considerations. But their existence prevents people from having to reckon with the role of providers and consumers
