For clarity's sake - SDotSI is imminent! But it is not the sequel to DoT, despite being blue and green, having Daughters in the title, and having an island on the cover...these are just things I like a little too much 😅. All the CotT books have huge trees on their covers, so expect that for 3T 1/2
Whaaaattt is Amazon up to with this sticker?? This isn't a book store sticker that comes off easy...

I blocked the person Strange Currencies replies to, just because they were becoming hysterical, but this is a long time issue: we sleep next to an elephant, as PET said. Even when the elephant is polite, we know when it moves.
I'd say the average Canadian knows more about American politics than the average American precisely -because- everything the US does has such immediate and significant impact on us.

I turned off the smart features in Gmail and now they're like "can't tell what is promotions or social anymore unless you turn it back on!" so now it's unusable OR I have to actually unsubscribe to all the junk I'm subscribed to 🤣.

My most woke opinion is that the whole point of society is to collectively help each other. My taxes should be going towards housing and feeding everyone. No one should be without food or shelter. Rich people should be contributing more towards this. It shouldn't even be controversial!

I've had a few 'what do you do' convs recently, and everyone on hearing I'm an author comes out with "so how do you come up with ideas?", just like every book or movie about a writer has them staring numbly into space because they don't have an idea for the next book. And look, that is Not It.

Writing has been...not very forthcoming lately.
Sales on Bounty Inc. still haven't even reached half what *preorders* were on either Gam Gam novellas, and I spent way more on Bounty Inc. overall.

I'm going to get real about writing for a minute. I'm not looking for advice. I understand the realities of publishing and that there's no guaranteed route to success as a writer.
I do not need to hear any of that.
And I really don't need to hear one more person tell me to just write for myself.

I've gotten very lucky because I've decided that "publishing for myself" is worth it. I wouldn't write if no one would read it, it just worked out for me mentally that I'm happy for any small number to read as long as someone talks to me about it 🤣. And my financial privilege let's me continue.
"Just write for yourself" is absolute BS to me because the writing is not complete until someone else reads it.
Just put on a play in an empty theatre. Just build a house no one will live in. Just cook a meal no one will eat.
