There are no words to convey the horror of 21 children in Gaza starving to death in the last 72 hours. There are no words to convey the horror of nearly a million more children being at risk of the same fate.

The UK cannot stay complicit in this atrocity.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

If the welfare reform bill goes through tomorrow- even with the so called concessions- millions of disabled people - now & in the future- are at risk. No one wants to be disabled.

Protest is sometimes the only way we can be heard – especially when speaking out on what's happening in Gaza and the West Bank.

If passed, this decision would have serious consequences for protest everywhere.

It must be stopped.

We need you to sign the amendment. You cannot, in good conscience, vote for a Green Paper that will affect—quite literally—millions of the most vulnerable people in the country without an Impact Assessment. Work with us. Please sign now.

Thanks,

There are trans and queer kids for whom online spaces are their only refuge. Art kids who hone their craft via online spaces. Weird kids who find their people. The trick is not to ban it. It’s to regulate it and educate kids about it. But that’s much harder and more expensive so here we are.
The TV show Adolescence is being weaponised in the effort to ban phones and social media for kids – but this only highlights the UK's abject failure to build online spaces that aren't manipulated by algorithmic gamification.
Bad Education
The TV show Adolescence is causing a rush to ban phones for kids. We can do better than that.

This is a very good description of what it's like to claim pip. I'm a therapist, but supporting my husband through this process very nearly sunk me into depression. It is horrible.
The reality of claiming PIP: a 🧵

1) To claim PIP you have to describe in excruciating detail all the ways you cannot function. This means that you are forced to think in very detailed terms exactly how disabled you are, which often has a devastating effect on the mental health of the applicant 1/?
