Brilliant to visit the home of my constituent, Ellie, and chat about how her new solar panels and heaters have improved her home!
When we make #HomesFitForTheFuture, we aren't just helping the planet, but also making homes warmer and bills lower!

This is deeply disappointing from Starmer.
The UK *helped design* this 'TFFF' fund, designed to stop deforestation, and supposedly 'continues to back the fund' (in theory). But now isn't putting any money into it 🤯
How embarrassing for the UK.

The burning question I wanted to ask at PMQs today: why is the govt considering slashing funding to home insulation programmes as a short-term, short-sighted way to lower energy bills? Why not do the smart thing instead, and tax billionaires fairly?

In the midst of horrific mass killings and violence, British-made military equipment has been found in Sudan.
It's clear our arms export licensing system is not fit for purpose; we need a full review, alongside an embargo on all arms exports to the UAE now.

I’m joining @bigissue.com in an open letter urging the govt to set child poverty targets in the upcoming child poverty strategy.
4.5 million children are growing up in poverty in the UK; setting measurable targets in the strategy will keep driving forward action we need.

Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!
His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.
It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

Hugely concerning that govt is considering slashing funding for desperately needed home insulation to cut bills in the short term. It’s vital to protect the Warm Homes Plan for long term investment to fix poor housing. Why not use a wealth tax to cut energy bills instead, Rachel?

Samir Zitouni's decision to bravely risk his life to protect others during last weekend's train attack was nothing short of absolute heroism.

The world's poorest people aren't the ones causing large-scale climate breakdown - so why are they expected to pay for it?
Myself and my fellow Green MPs have written to the PM ahead of COP30 urging him to #MakePollutersPay through a tax on the extraction of fossil fuels.

We must ensure polluters, not the poorest, pay for climate action.
Ahead of COP30, we have written to the Prime Minister, urging him to ensure that those most responsible bear the cost.

Under the current criminalisation of protest, even the famous campaigners that we celebrate in the UK would be at risk of arrest simply for peacefully protesting.
The right to protest is a cornerstone of our democracy; we cannot allow its restriction to go unchallenged.

I am horrified that Netanyahu has ordered military strikes on Gaza.
Military escalation will not bring justice or security; it will only prolong grief, put more civilians in lethal danger, and risk any hope of stability and peace.

As Reeves travels to Riyadh to discuss trade, Saudi Arabia is in the middle of an execution spree. The UK must not cosy up to regimes with appalling human rights records.
Trade deals can’t come at the cost of our values; our govt must not prioritise profit over human rights.

The severe threat the climate crisis poses to national security is laid out in a new Joint Intelligence Committee report - though we can't read it, because the govt has reportedly blocked its publication.
I pressed the minister on when we can expect it to be released... and he dodged the question.

Taxing wealth fairly is incredibly popular: 75% of the public support a wealth tax of 1% on assets above £10 million.
Inequality is a huge threat facing our country - why won't the govt tackle it? Tax wealth, invest in communities, and build a fairer future for everyone.

What tax reforms do Britons say they would support in principle? (1/2)
-Wealth tax: 75% support
-Mansion tax: 69%
-Exit tax: 60%
-Make council tax proportionate to home value: 56%
-Peg tax thresholds to inflation: 52%
-Increase employer's NI for foreign workers: 50%

Yet another dismissive, party-political answer by the PM at PMQs.
The disparity between the UK's wealthiest and poorest is growing every day, with millions struggling with cost of living.
When will the PM accept that the problem in our country is inequality, not immigration?
