🍏 Green MP for North Herefordshire and leader of the Green Party MP group in Parliament. Mum, activist, optimist!
Another exciting week as your MP holding the government to account on fair funding for rural communities, action on tackling climate breakdown, cost-of-living and wealth tax measures, and much more!
November 28, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Real action on climate change requires funding, not just rhetoric. The govt must commit to contributing to the Tropical Forest Forever Facility fund and Just Transition Mechanism if we are to address climate breakdown.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza persists, goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in the OPT continue to be imported into Britain's markets - proceeds of a crime under international law.

The govt must urgently ban the import of these goods and press for aid to flow into Gaza.

If a just and lasting peace is to be secured, it is Ukrainian voices - not Donald Trump's, not those of Russian aggressors - which need to be front and centre in all discussions on Ukraine's future.

Ahead of tomorrow's Budget, the Green Party's message couldn't be clearer: cut bills, tax billionaires.

We live in a massively unequal society - it's time to change that. Tax wealth fairly, reduce the strain on ordinary families, and invest in public services.
November 25, 2025 at 2:09 PM
Rural constituencies like North Herefordshire face additional costs in delivering services due to the unique challenges of rurality.

The govt must ensure the Fair Funding Review takes this into account and properly allocates the funding rural communities need.

Another busy week holding the government to account and pressing for real action on Gaza & Sudan, pushing for real investment in home insulation and energy efficiency schemes, challenging dangerous rhetoric around asylum, & working to improve adult social care!
November 22, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Brilliant to spend the day at the Rivers conference in Herefordshire discussing innovative technology and projects combatting pollution, soil loss and more!

Always fantastic to hear about the great work already being done to restore our rivers and discuss what more we need to do!

On #CarersRightsDay I recognised the countless unpaid carers like my constituent, who work tirelessly and prop up the care sector and NHS, yet struggle financially and emotionally without support.

No one should have to choose between providing care and making ends meet.
November 21, 2025 at 1:09 PM
The plant closure in Mossmorran is just the latest evidence that fossil fuel giants like ExxonMobil can't be relied upon - that's why the government needs to invest in a genuinely just transition to green and renewable energy sources, to protect jobs and the planet.
November 20, 2025 at 4:22 PM
Severe flooding like we've seen across Monmouthshire will only become more frequent as climate breakdown progresses - building resilience could not be more important.

By investing in #RiverFriendlyFarming, govt can help farmers manage floodwater and prevent disastrous outcomes.

Every day, millions of households wake up asking a brutal question: how will I keep my home warm this winter?

The Warm Homes Plan is a real opportunity for the govt to protect vulnerable households from the cold - but only if they avoid repeating past mistakes.
November 19, 2025 at 4:06 PM
With every day that passes the crises in Gaza and Sudan grow more dire; the government must take concrete action to ensure the distribution of much-needed humanitarian aid into Gaza and to press those supporting the RSF to stop the horrific mass killings.
November 18, 2025 at 4:35 PM
North Herefordshire residents: Do you have experience in adult social care as a service user, unpaid carer, or care worker?

Come share your thoughts with me on how we can improve the system!

The govt's proposed new asylum laws are impractical, ineffectual, and outright cruel. Aping the rhetoric of Reform won't fix the real issues in this country; it will only stir up more false divisions and endanger already vulnerable communities.
November 17, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Today I voted for protecting nature.

The Lords added sensible, evidence-based amendments to the Planning & Infrastructure Bill to strengthen nature protection. But the govt rejected them.

Ministers need to listen - to experts, to trusted organisations, and to the public.

Millions of ordinary families are struggling to cope with the cost-of-living crisis whilst the Treasury ties itself in knots over its self-imposed fiscal rules.

It's time they make different choices: tax wealth fairly and invest in our communities and public services.

"If the Chancellor is serious about plugging the gap in our finances, she must start by tackling our growing inequality, not deepening it."

Brilliant to visit the home of my constituent, Ellie, and chat about how her new solar panels and heaters have improved her home!

When we make #HomesFitForTheFuture, we aren't just helping the planet, but also making homes warmer and bills lower!
November 6, 2025 at 1:39 PM
The burning question I wanted to ask at PMQs today: why is the govt considering slashing funding to home insulation programmes as a short-term, short-sighted way to lower energy bills? Why not do the smart thing instead, and tax billionaires fairly?
November 5, 2025 at 10:54 PM
In the midst of horrific mass killings and violence, British-made military equipment has been found in Sudan.

It's clear our arms export licensing system is not fit for purpose; we need a full review, alongside an embargo on all arms exports to the UAE now.

I’m joining @bigissue.com in an open letter urging the govt to set child poverty targets in the upcoming child poverty strategy.

4.5 million children are growing up in poverty in the UK; setting measurable targets in the strategy will keep driving forward action we need.

It was brilliant to meet with supporters and staff from @breastcancernow.bsky.social in Parliament to celebrate #WearItPink!

Really moving to meet super impressive women with breast cancer who are very powerful advocates for more support and research for all those affected.

Under the current criminalisation of protest, even the famous campaigners that we celebrate in the UK would be at risk of arrest simply for peacefully protesting.

The right to protest is a cornerstone of our democracy; we cannot allow its restriction to go unchallenged.

It's been another busy week as MP for North Herefordshire, holding the government to account and pushing for progress on social housing, the climate crisis, and more!
