Last night I introduced @magickitten.bsky.social to my idea for Extreme Biathlon, where you're allowed to shoot at the people behind you in the race if you get to the gun bit first. Paintballs obviously. Points awarded AND docked for hits, and time penalties for hits and misses

Happy 50th, Muppets! As a child, answering their fan mail taught me so much

My extraordinarily lucky childhood spent sorting mailbags helped me understand the power of creativity and kindness, writes Erica Wagner

I will never get over Vance writing that as a Yale student he had no idea what "sparkling water" might be and used it as an example of the elites intimidating the poors. This tracks. Minestrone and a Milanese cutlet would be too exotic and snooty for him.
Not only did they bring a small private army, but among the waste of taxpayer money was BRINGING A FULL PLANE OF FOOD.

To *Italy*.

Hate-filled fake videos about London are everywhere. We've obtained a recording of a TikToker confessing to secretly filming Londoners in their homes for clicks.

He says it's not political. He just wants to make money from far-right anger.

Former Washington Post journalists have launched a GoFundMe to help repatriate fired staff members who are effectively stranded in foreign countries.

One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home.

This is another huge childhood thing, and part of why standardised testing at a young age is actively harmful. Parents, please encourage your offspring to just try things, for enjoyment. Enjoyment *is* success.
I think they gatekeep themselves.

They think what they produce isn't good enough because what appears on the page/canvas/etc isn't exactly what they have in their heads, and they get embarrassed and it makes them feel bad.

Myself, I would be more embarrassed and feel worse about using AI, but...

At *the very least* RFK Jr. should be tried for manslaughter. At the *VERY* very least he shouldn't be running the goddamned US health service.
Of course RFK Jr. lied about the Samoan people whose deaths from measles he is responsible for.

Literally no one believed his lies except people like Bill Cassidy who chose to believe him in order to please the King.

And now RFK Jr. will continue to get people killed by preventable diseases.
Newly revealed emails undermine RFK Jr testimony about 2019 Samoa trip ahead of measles outbreak
Kennedy later said the purpose of his trip had nothing to do with vaccines. US embassy and UN staff at the time said otherwise, emails show

Had a ‘hang on, WHAT’ moment before I realised the context
Where is Jonathan Ross?

A month ago he killed Renee Good. Is he on the streets, armed and ready to take more lives? Is he in a cushy office somewhere, living a good life off the taxpayer dime. Is he at a training facility, teaching feds to step in front of cars, kill, and say they were afraid?

The only part of the Winter Games I’ve watched on BBC, I’m afraid, has been the Opening Ceremony. Discovery+ has been vastly superior 😬
BBC, this is confusing - just put the actual date (5 Feb/6 Feb etc)

Ok, #publishingsky: when Americans refer to hardback, paperback and mass market paperback, do they mean:

- hardback, trade paperback (same dimensions as HB but PB) and b-format PB (w129xh198mm)

- hardback, b-format PB and a-format PB (w110xh178mm)

- a secret third combination?

Professor Louis Appleby covered up a policy which killed trans children so that the British government could kill some more through neglect and lack of care.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare
