I know NYC was the headline election, but IMO Virginia was the more telling election yesterday. The Dem sweep of the Gov., Lt. Gov. And AG plus picking up at least 10 seats in the House of Delegates is more indicative of where the general electorate is at right now than the NYC mayorial race is.

This is the longest government shutdown in American history.

All because Republicans refuse to lower health care costs or fund food assistance.

Notice that MAGA’s reaction to last night’s brutal losses is NOT “hey let’s try to win the will of the voters with good policy.” It’s, let’s end the filibuster, let’s end mail-in voting, all ideas for winning without really CONVINCING anyone to vote for them

Red flag laws save lives. We’re glad to see this ballot measure pass tonight, two years after a shooter killed 18 people & injured 13 others in Lewiston.

Now, Mainers will have another tool to keep their loved ones who are a danger to themselves or others from accessing a gun in a time of crisis.

Populist Dems won. Moderate Dems won. We won in blue states. We won in purple states.

Maybe the take is that (a) people think Trump is out of control; and (b) people like Dems when we're taking a stand and fighting for what we believe in - as we have been for the last month.

You might not be able to watch Monday Night Football tonight.

Why? When companies get too big, they have the power to cut off your favorite channels.

That's what's happening here.

And what's Trump done about it? He's let them get away with it.

Huge win for humpbacks!

Dozens of humpbacks are entangled in fishing gear off the Pacific Coast every year, but it was just announced that a federal task force will be formed to curb these entanglements.

This announcement stems from our 2023 legal victory.

Are you hurting #wildlife without even knowing it?

Lots of things we do every day, whether in pest control or #PetCare, are detrimental to the wild creatures and plants we share the planet with. But product labels don’t tell us that.

Meanwhile, data centers are sucking up communities’ water and electricity.
