Today, the Court ruled that Trump, and any future president, can fire members of the Consumer Product Safety Commission at will. That’s a federal agency Congress intentionally designed to be independent of political pressure.

I know the fear/anxiety of evacuations and waiting to see what happens to your home in natural disasters. Some of my dear friends/colleagues have now lost their homes. I am grateful for their lives and the incredibly brave work of the LAFD. My heart breaks for all my neighbors and our beloved city.
