Has the NYT addressed this at all yet?
Why the NYT didn't report on their Epstein info is tangled up with another question: was Epstein a friend of the Sulzberger family? Epstein claims he first befriended NYT publisher "Punch" Sulzberger in the 1970s, when Sulzberger's daughter (age ~12) was at the prep school where Epstein taught. 1/

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Now that Trump and Russ Vought are punishing NYC and NJ with spending freezes, it's worth noting that candidates like Zohran Mamdani and Mikie Sherrill benefit bigly from this move. Both are already seizing on this to position themselves as defenders of their cities and states against Trump.
When Trump threatens to nix funding to NYC if Zohran Mamdani wins, it only helps Zohran. It inflates the Trump threat, positions Zohran as a fighter for NYC against Trump, and pushes Cuomo into the role of Trump stooge.

There's a lesson here for Dems.

Trump’s Rage at Zohran Just Backfired in a Surprisingly Revealing Way
The Democrats who are breaking through are the ones who talk about Trump’s disastrous economic record while also leveling with the public about our slide into authoritarianism.

I’m ready to die for this country—not for a flag, not for a tyrant, but for the Constitution and the people it was meant to protect. If my life helps bring back democracy, so be it. That’s love of country. That’s patriotism. And I know I’m not the only one.

This is the lede. There is a woman on camera in charge of a lot of people with guns. She says they are going to liberate a domestic population center from democratically elected officials and violate too many laws to count in the process. I have zero time for anything else.
Every elected Republican should be asked if they think the president has the power to send in military in to “liberate” a state or city from its elected government.

the word "constitution" does not appear in this article

nor does any indication that the Trump regime's actions might be illegal

it does however note "White House officials maintain that the president is ... standing up for 'law and order' as Democrats go soft on violent agitators."

1. I want to suggest today that what we are seeing on Wall Street and in markets around the world is the sudden realization that the president is mentally unstable – that he has dementia, probably – and as a result of that realization, investors no longer have any faith in Donald Trump.
