The abuse Julie Fairey copped after being HIT BY A CAR is exactly what happens when we treat online harm as background noise. Women in politics bear the brunt, especially women of colour. Until NZ actually regulates platforms properly, this will keep happening #nzpol

Who reduced the member tax credit from $1040 to $521? National
Who then reduced the same member tax credit from $521 to $260.72? National.

Don't believe National on Kiwisaver.

‘Shockingly inappropriate overreach of politics’: Doctors slam puberty blocker pause
The Government’s decision to stop new prescriptions of puberty blockers for young people with gender dysphoria for at least six years has been called politically motivated and discriminatory.

A lot of people didn’t like the Washington Post journalist who was tortured and dismembered with a bone saw for writing critically about the man sitting next to me
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

& yet they are still polling +/- within their election night zone.

I swear there ought to be a test before voting

1: Is trickle down real
2: Is neoliberalism good
3: Is Winston Peters relevant

Answer yes to any of the three & you are not eligible to vote.
Well this is…not good 👀 #nzpol #OneTermGovernment

This clip will be forever burned into my brain. When @sanders.senate.gov told them they would be killing 51,000 people with their vote and they did it anyway. It was like watching him beg for mercy at a public execution.

Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.

It doesn't have to be this way.

One of the first things this government did was tear it up. The US, Pacific islands, and Australia criticised NZ for doing so. Shane Jones doesn't care #nzpol

New from me: Just eight of the Government's 17 Roads of National Significance have already seen costs blow out by $5.1 billion - before any shovels are even in the ground.

The full programme would cost $44-$54 billion on the latest numbers.
