I’ve said for years that I was pretty confident Mario Cristobal would, more likely than not, get Miami into the playoff during his tenure.

Multiple things I think are true about the final bracket:
-Putting Miami ahead of Notre Dame is the correct choice.
-Flipping them at the last second is ridiculous. The process this whole time has been awful.
-Both teams are better than Alabama.

So, BYU was penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game (dropped one spot). Which allowed Miami to move up and get compared directly to Notre Dame.
