I've decided to research Trump's Clown Car of a Cabinet. I started with Rubio because State is crucial. Which of Trump's picks should I focus on next?

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”

Reminder that there was once an AIDS denialist magazine that went out of print because, well, all the editors died of AIDS.

In the 60s. Columbus Day happened like yesterday and it can unhappen just as easily. And is.
A bit. But the weird thing is that when LBJ finally made it an official federal holiday in 1968 it was all from the efforts of a random PR guy from Buffalo who lobbied to celebrate Italian Americans.

an eye opening thing to learn was that the reason golden era simpsons is so packed with songs is apparently because the writers earned little-to-no residuals from the actual episodes, but *did* get sizable residuals from ASCAP for any songs in episodes that they had a songwriting credit on.
The Simpsons has long been known for having amazing musical numbers but which one is your favorite? And please, let’s leave out obvious ones everyone knows like Mr. Plow or Doctor Zaius. Mine is the Monorail song from S4 Ep 12 Marge vs the Monorail, what’s yours? Give your best “Simpsons Deep Cut”!

If any of you *ever* do this to me I will come to your house at night and plant *so much* zucchini in your yard, and then you’ll become that person who keeps giving away the zucchini, and all your loved ones will shun you and your neighbors will hate you and your rotten zucchini smelling house.
There was a reader who insisted on sending me typos and things he thought were typos. I blocked him. Gtfo
I don't read my books after publication because I'm scared to death of finding typos, but I had to crack open my first novel recently to search for something.

There's a typo on the first page. To say my heart sank would be an understatement.

Folks in my field note typos in book reviews, across all the languages the book uses, and all I have to say on that is if you want more accurate books then pay us to hire more editors. The idea that someone will single-handedly, with other full-time work, catch everything in a 300pg ms is wild.

I know editors of book reviews and academic journals are also overworked. But just cut petty snark.

I’ve written about this before. But you just don’t need to note trivial faults like typos in academic book reviews. And editors should not allow petty snark to go to print. Serious issues please discuss! Typos … no.

the policy status quo in this country is objectively anti-family
The end of child care funding next month is going to absolutely nuke the industry, forcing a projected 70,000 day care centers out of business. 3.2 million kids are expected to lose care, leading to an annual *$9 billion in lost wages* for parents:

Seriously, I missed her long after I stopped missing him
To her additional credit, he had moved it into his bedroom at the time while packing up boxes, and she saw it from far away. She really was a cool woman, and I think it’s hilarious that’s where her mind went. There’s no doubt in my mind that she had owned what she thought it was.

Picked up One For All as a close friend suffers with POTS, so I wanted to support the rep & learn more for myself. I’m halfway through & the writing is great but @marawilson.bsky.social has truly brought this to life! Absolutely enchanting performance
