Important moment in the Brexit saga, though note it is still only a political agreement. Note also that Tory cries of 'surrender' will be bogus - something like this was already in prospect under Sunak.
Britain and the EU have agreed a fresh Brexit deal that will see Gibraltar open its borders with Spain, abolish passport controls with the EU, and join the EU customs union.
Brexit pushes Gibraltar into EU customs union and Schengen area
The Rock’s government has sought such a deal for years — complaining that border crossings have become more onerous since the U.K. left the EU.

Not main point but very revealing that Laura Kuenssberg keeps on talking about the "child benefit cap" in *tax credits* (it's Universal Credit, and has been for most claimants for some time).

Reflects both very poor briefing *and* her complete ignorance of the topics she asks questions about..

Navarro doesn't understand the deal they signed. The text reads: "The United Kingdom and the United States affirm that
imported food and agricultural goods must comply with the importing country’s sanitary and
phytosanitary (SPS) standards and other mutually agreed standards."

Make no mistake. Every politician, pundit & online grifter amplifying Musk's dangerous lies will be aware of this intervention by now. Make no mistake, they are choosing to mislead the public & politicise the suffering of victims in the shameful pursuit of political advantage, attention & clicks.

In the last decade, two Members of Parliament in the UK have been murdered by extremists.

Elon Musk, with this continued disinformation, risks inspiring another attack or killing.

He is a danger to UK national security and the inaction from UK Government on the subject is no longer sustainable.

As an Indian, my contempt for (rich white) anti-vaxxers in the west is so deep I often cannot quite find the words to express my contempt.
I grew up seeing polio-disabled children and adults crawling over rubble and roads in India.
My father worked for the Pulse Polio program.
What is happening?
