Shabana Mahmood's proposal to stop being told to "go back home" is to send people "home". Her proposal to stop black and brown people from feeling like they don't belong, is to bake in to the immigration system that they will never belong.

Fruitful evening! Had a play with SharpCap’s Push To Assistant, got some time (and lots of subs!) on the Triangulum Galaxy, now grabbing a few of the double cluster, then beddybyes.
The trials and tribulations of being an astrophotographer with a day job!
Pics later if I have the energy…

Why did Keir Starmer and the Labour Party decide to destroy EVERYTHING they could have been - to hand over the uk to the far right with such dainty gloves on - utterly disgusted by it all

GB News broadcasted a package last week on analysis of people with "foreign sounding" names.

Peddling unverified and racist statistics on national TV is dangerous and we must call it out.

The Liberal Democrats are calling on Ofcom to investigate and take swift action.

Every single Labour MP needs to hang their heads in shame.
People are pissed off with them.
Those that are will take steps to ensure you're limited on your ability because Labour have done nothing but attack those who aren't the fucking problem.
The wealthy are the problem, Labour kissing their ass.
A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

Labour's MP for Folkestone says the government has taken "the wrong turning" on its plans for asylum seekers.

"The rhetoric around these reforms encourages the same culture of divisiveness that sees racism and abuse growing in our communities."

The ridiculous situation of the BBC and the British public being held to ransom by a deranged manchild of a President. He should be faced head on by Starmer not indulged by an appeal to his better nature when it is quite clear he has no nature, better or worse, whatsoever.

The government is proposing to abolish the right to asylum. Fuck Starmer and fuck Mahmood, they are traitors to their entire electorate cosying up to the far right.
This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.

Leaving refugees in permanent limbo and unable to build a new life in the UK would be a complete abdication of our humanitarian responsibilities

Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

It's real, and it's mind-blowing.

A complete lack of awareness and a national embarrassment.
Just some British patriots in Benidorm, taking over a street in Spain to shout in their own language about unwanted foreigners. It’s a blessing that they are too thick to understand irony.

Marks and Spencer wouldn't exist

Queen would have been without a front man

The other queen wouldn't have had a husband

Judith Kerr would never have written The Tiger Who Came to Tea

And thousands of less famous people wouldn't have been teachers, politicians, neighbours, etc

Bias is often in the eye of the beholder

So let’s stick to measurable facts

During 10 yrs of debate about Brexit, BBC QuestionTime had Britain’s Members of the European Parliament on the show 50 times

Every single one was from the pro Brexit minority

47 were from UKIP/BP

23 times Farage
