The only thing I don’t like about this post is that I didn’t write it.
Every "population crisis" article in western media is just "WHERE ARE THE WHITE BABIES" in disguise and we absolutely do not have to give any credence to any of them

I did know this. See also corned beef and cabbage, which the Irish learned from Jews in NY and exported back to Ireland. A lovely collaboration!

Not only has the HUD website lost its mind, they also canceled all three research contracts my firm bid on recently.

How is this legal? How is this ok? First thing you see when you go to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) website.

1. "'Trusting the experts is not a feature of either a science or democracy," Kennedy said."

It's literally a vital feature of both science and of representative democracy.

I've written a fair bit about trust in expertise as a vital mechanism in the collective epistemology of science.

Being homeless isn’t a crime. Being in a gang isn’t a crime. Being an immigrant isn’t a crime.
Trump starts "7 days of action" tonight with forced hospitalization/institutionalization/arrest of homeless people in DC. No warning given to anyone who might have gotten people off the street humanely.

I’ve had exactly this thought. This stretch of road cuts off two large pedestrian spaces. The area could be so much friendlier and humane with a relatively small change.
Due to Purple Line construction, a busy road in downtown Silver Spring has gone car-free. What if it...stayed that way?
No cars allowed on this major street in Silver Spring

People receiving Medicaid work! People (USA-ians) generally want to work. I suspect many of the over 65 group work at least part-time. Many children 16+ are probably working too.
This is insane: do they really believe that being on Medicaid means being unemployed?
Only 3% of those receiving Medicaid are in the category of able-bodied and long-term unemployed.

The Virginian colonels in the US Army at US Civil War outbreak were:

R.E. Lee, John J. Abert, Edmund B. Alexander, Philip S.G. Cooke, John Garland, Thomas Lawson, Matthew M. Payne, Washington Seawell, George H. Thomas, René De Russy and Thomas T. Fauntleroy.

Only Lee sided with the Confederacy /1
Counterpoint: Robert E. Lee was a treasonous loser who gladly slaughtered his fellow Americans in defense of slavery while being a mildly above average military tactician.

He should’ve been hanged in Lexington.

I volunteer once a week at the elementary school down the street. I hang out with the kindergarteners during lunch and recess. During recess one boy handed me this shriveled flower, said “I love you,” and ran away. Highlight of my day…week…year?
