I volunteer once a week at the elementary school down the street. I hang out with the kindergarteners during lunch and recess. During recess one boy handed me this shriveled flower, said “I love you,” and ran away. Highlight of my day…week…year?

Did some sourdough baking this weekend. This time I followed a more labor-intensive recipe and it came out well. I typically use a “lazy” method.

I live 1.5 miles from a great donut shop (Donut Run in DC). I biked there and was planning to put the donuts in plastic containers for the ride home. Instead I turned the containers upside down and covered two of the three donuts. This stabilized the donut box and I strapped it to my rear rack.
