When prices rise because *demand* is hot, wages usually follow. When prices rise because tariffs raise costs -- a *supply* shock -- there’s no reason paychecks catch up. That’s why tariff inflation hurts a whole heckuva lot more. It's a permanent reduction in living standards.

So, I'm having a little bit of a perspective shift. Maybe, just maybe, since they're the ones least likely to face any repercussions, it shifts the blame back on Republicans. Dems appear to have done all they can to reopen, knowing Johnson has to keep it closed due to Epstein.
