Since my followers are growing, I’m reintroducing myself.

My main focus here is on Propaganda, Propaganda Delivery Networks, and Counter Propaganda (how we fight back 👊).

This is my thread of threads, which will remain pinned on my timeline for easy access and reference.

First, a primer:
Actually a pretty likely scenario.

Maduro gets pardoned, retires w/ golden parachute.

Trump & Co. get blood $ + news cycle.

Venezuelans get chaos, corruption and death.

“oil” is a red herring… there’s an oil glut. We don’t need it & extracting wld be expensive and dangerous.

Death theater.
Venezuela opposition reports the so called "capture" of Maduro was a negotiated deal between Maduro and US for an agreed exit strategy. We reported in November that this would be the case. The US bombed Venezuelan service members as part of a death theatre. #VenezuelaInvasion

They have effectively shifted the news cycle.

Democrats need to start talking about impeachment…

and ALL the reasons for impeachment.

In this way, they can focus attention on Venezuela
AND Epstein
AND ICE terrorism
AND pardon abuses
ETC. ETC. ETC.

AND make republicans defend ALL OF IT.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Trump said the US is going to 'run Venezuela.' Under what legal authority?

RUBIO: We want a better future for the people of Venezuela

STEPHANOPOULOS: I'll ask again -- what is the legal authority?

RUBIO: We have court orders

“MTG becomes voice of reason” wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card. Yet here we are.

A woman scorned, and all that.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "50-year mortgages are really a slap in the face. It's insulting. Americans don't want $2,000 stimulus checks as a payoff. They want to have good policies brought forth for them."

Oh I'm sorry did you think that when they told you it was now the Department of War that they were signaling their commitment to diplomacy and non-interventionism?

The government of Cuba poses zero threat to the US, or US interests.

Obama opened up diplomatic dialogue with Cuba, & created economic opportunities and engagement. Progress was happening.

Trump reversed everything Obama worked for by 2019.

This is all just a personal score Rubio wants to settle.
WELKER: Is the Cuban government the Trump administration's next target?

MARCO RUBIO: Well, the Cuban government is a huge problem. Yeah.

WELKER: Is that a yes?

RUBIO: I think they're in a lot of trouble, yes

If you’ve traveled in the Middle East or North Africa in the last ten years, as I have, you find that Saddam is now seen by a great many people as a martyr, and a symbol of resistance to US aggression.

As Venezuela inevitably falls into chaos, Maduro will become a martyr to many as well.
People being like, "But Venezuelans are happy about Maduro being gone!" have the memories of goldfish. IN 2003, the narrative was that Iraqis celebrated the U.S. invasion and capture of Saddam.

Whether they were happy or not, invading Iraq was still the wrong thing to do.

They will not, in fact, keep congress involved… except maybe to tell Johnson to keep his mouth shut.
CBS’s Tony Dokoupil gets long interview with Pete Hegseth and fails to pin him on the use of U.S. troops to occupy/run Venezuela:
Q: Will you ask Congress for approval? Do you believe legally you need to ask Congress for approval?
A: Of course, we will keep Congress involved.

Correction:

40 people were murdered.
NYT:

At least 40 people were killed in the US attack on Venezuela, including military personnel and civilians.
January 4, 2026 at 12:03 AM
Nope. And trump just created a lot more sympathy for Maduro.
So do you all think Venezuelans will greet America as its liberators?
January 4, 2026 at 12:02 AM
For the people saying we shouldn’t encourage senators to push for impeachment…

You do realize that they are an integral part of the caucus and are capable of speaking to House members, right?

Just checking.

I challenge anyone to show me an example of a successful outside sourced regime change.

It never works. In most cases it makes things worse. In some instances, it might make things moderately better, but only after years of strife and lots of bodies.

But it’s great for defense contractors.
How can anyone claim regime change won’t work in Venezuela?

Regime change to remove Taliban in Afghanistan worked so effectively that after 20+ years of war, hundreds of thousands of deaths, $3T wasted, we can finally rest easy knowing that the country is the able hands of…Taliban.😳

Ohhh…right.

We need to get 100% behind dem candidates who have the chutzpah to say the word “impeachment”. @hartzell.bsky.social and @katmabu.bsky.social are two who unequivocally get it.

Nothing changes until we get leadership who are willing to rise to the moment.
Venezuela’s bombing campaign is unprovoked, illegal and unauthorized.

Will it solve everything? No.

Is it still better to demand accountability than it is to type out “LOL nothing matters” on your phone? Yes.

I’ll block anyone I see doing this helpless shit. Go stick your head in the sand if you want but stop clucking at people online for giving a shit.

Folks we need to really zero in on this statement for it appears the Maduro regime is still in power and running the country. If Trump was confused about that this morning and delusionally believed he was in charge he must step down.

About the only thing I can guarantee right now is that the Democratic primaries are going to be very interesting.

We have an abundance of useless leaders. The people, I think, are going to speak on that in a few months.

The Venezuelan people elected Edmundo González to run their country.

Not Pete Hegseth or Marco Rubio.

And this time keep it shut down until republicans introduce articles of impeachment.

And now, a brief word from commodity-market reality...
The US produces >13 mn barrels of oil per day. Venezuela produces <1 million bpd

There's a global oil glut i.e. lower prices. That's bad for US producers, who need higher prices to break even. Hard to imagine they're eager to make big new investments in an unstable place w/ decrepit infrastructure

Now is the time to overreact. If such a thing is even possible at this juncture.
People need to stop correcting other people, implying that they're overreacting or insisting certain things cannot happen.

I've been corrected/lectured multiple times over the past decade about what Trump can/can't do or what he can/can't get away with.

Sadly, I've been correct 90% of the time.
