Also, that’s The Odyssey.

Also, that’s not reading.

Give me a sec, just trying to reach around and pull this knife out of my back.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

If my ACA plan is already high deductible then I actually have nowhere to go.

I’ll be doing without healthcare next year.
No agreement on healthcare but the government will temporarily reopen.

Wish Dems would have stood their ground.

Many millions will now shift to not purchasing any health insurance or signing for high deductible health plans that strain budgets without offering robust coverage.

It took him a day to respond because he had to grok some big words.

His goal, I suppose, is to sound like a complete coward… because he’s doing a great job.

There’s still time to call senators. Let me explain. Sorry not sorry about the cat. He’s also really upset about this deal.

Sure, Jan.
I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

It will take them exactly four years to figure it out.
Mike Johnson: "That's the reason the inflation is up, the cost of living is up so high -- because of the policies of the previous administration. Now, we're working to root those policies out and implement our own, but it takes a little time."

This reminds me… why don’t we have a training program for young candidates?

Oh yeah.

We do.

@runforsomething.net

If you’re wondering what to do… just run for something.

They will help you.

We will help you.

And you will help us.

It’s important to remember that the truly wealthy… the donor class… don’t need insurance.

Most of them don’t have it… simply because they don’t need it… they can pay out of pocket for medical care, and it’s pennies to them.

Also important… these are the people whispering in our senators’ ears.

Retire.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Actually, it was already a law, and you just defunded it.
Reporter: What do you say to your colleagues who say this isn't a fight, this is a capitulation?

Shaheen: We have a guaranteed vote by a guaranteed date…

Reporter: There is no guarantee that this will become law.

Shaheen: There was never a guarantee that it would be become law.

I mean… I’m just confused.

I never thought “hold the line” meant “fold like a cheap suit”…

They do not support the concept of a fundamental right to healthcare. They sold the American people out. They must be primaried and stay gone.

Chuck Schumer too.

This looks awfully intentional.
None can be primaried in the next cycle, Shaheen & Durbin retiring.

Hassan, Masto, Fetterman up for reelection in 2028.

Rosen, Kaine, King up for reelection in 2030.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Say what you will about Bernie, but he never abandons his convictions.

I like that.
I’m voting no on the continuing resolution that would double healthcare premiums for 20 million Americans, kick 15 million people off Medicaid & allow 50,000 Americans to die unnecessarily every year.

All to give $1 trillion in tax breaks for billionaires.
