It’s too bad they only speak plainly when they’re not running for office.
Walz is out of Fs: "Not a single Republican supported this, so every Minnesotan from here on, whoever uses this program, there is no bit of thanks that would go to the R legislators who did all they could to stop this ... our schools have money to pay their teachers? I'll take credit for that too."

"I can say without equivocation that there’s no clear or compelling evidence that younger Americans are more religious than their parents or grandparents. In reality, many casual observers are overinterpreting some short-term shifts in survey data." - @ryanburge.bsky.social
Perspective: Is a religious revival under way in America?
There are anecdotal reports of new Great Awakening, but a granular look at the data reveals something else.

"Social safety nets crumble when most taxpayers feel like welfare money goes to undeserving people."

Social safety nets crumble in response to taxpayer FEELINGS? This is the level of analysis coming from the Washington Post Editorial Board? Laughable!

Many of these anchors continue to tell us about Trump’s threats to Greenland, Cuba, Mexico, Iran, or Colombia with a tone that suggests it’s all unserious. You’d think that tone would stop after we kidnapped the leader of another country? After Trump announced we’re taking over that country?

While Trump continuously vilifies “people from mental institutions,” I spent Friday in one, having a New Year's party with gardening therapy participants. We discussed goals for the year and made fig jam from the fig trees on the hospital grounds.

My godfather's primary source of news is CBS. He had no idea about the Ellisons, Bari Weiss, Tony Dokoupil, & the making of the new state media. He was skeptical of my take at first, but he watched Tony's debut as CBS Evening News anchor & called his show the "Pete Hegseth Show with Tony Dokoupil."

Republicans championed the expiration of enhanced premium tax credits, resulting in a surge in monthly healthcare premiums for millions of Americans.

Millions of Americans will go without coverage this year due to the cost.

I watched “It’s a Wonderful Life” and cried my eyes out like usual, and two things:

1) How do people watch this movie and continue to vote for Republicans?

2) We need an updated ending where we get some justice! Potter gets to steal $8,000 and get away with it?! WE NEED JUSTICE!
