Gender policing hurts everyone.
Last year my wife had breast cancer and a double mastectomy.

This morning, for the first time ever, she was challenged in the changing rooms at the swimming pool. Her breasts were not what make her a woman - but, breasts or not, she is entitled to dignity and protection from vigilantes.

There’s a physician in our group who moved here from a deep red state bc they have a trans kid.
HuffPo [cont] -- Trans outmigration varies widely by state. Trans groups in "South Dakota & Florida estimated just 4% and 3% of their clients had left; Louisiana and Ohio each between 15% and 20% of theirs; and Kansas 35%." The main reason cited for not moving is poverty.

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
