“For a city like Central Falls — a small, resilient, one-square mile full of working-class families and immigrants — access to health care is not a luxury, it’s survival," Mayor Maria Rivera said.

Really hoping everyone on the streets today is prepared to organize and dig in for their neighbors when there are no SNAP benefits next month. It's not enough to make a pithy sign and take a walk on a Saturday afternoon.

300,000 Black women have been pushed out of their employment in the last three months. This resegregation isn't just racial, it's also heavily gendered.
So, to be clear:

*Federal employment, which built much of the Black middle class—attacked & slashed

*Cities with Black mayors—targeted

*Black neighborhoods/communities—invaded

*Affirmative action @ colleges—eliminated

*Black history—demonized, erased, & written over

They
are
re-
segregating.
