Nice and mean at the same time. Practical Democrat. Yelling "dO sOmEtHiNg" is doing nothing. I blame republicans for what they're responsible for because I tell the truth. My motivation is getting things right. I don't care about your TV show or podcast.

Hasan Piker should livestream his negative opinions about the Chinese government while in China just like he does the American government while in America and compare the difference in state response.
You know, for science. Because he's such a Brave Truth Teller, after all, right?

My pinned post/thread is about this & how the VRA of 1965 was the last straw for the majority of white voters
1964 was a wave election where LBJ won nearly 60% of the white vote, but he still lost 5 Democratic stronghold states in the Bible Belt because of the CRA of 1964.

The last Democrat to win the majority of the white vote was LBJ in 1964.
With a Democratic trifecta & a large moderate Republican faction in Congress, LBJ was able to get the Voting Rights Act of 1965 passed, but in the 1966 midterms, Democrats lost 40 House seats, 3 Senate seats & 8 governorships.🧵

There couldn’t have been an easier choice between Harris & Trump in 2024 & while the 117th Congress was the most productive in years despite the slim Democratic majorities, the GOP went 4 weeks without an elected Speaker during the 118th & passed no meaningful legislation, yet kept their majority.

There hasn’t been an election in decades where the GOP candidate was better than their Democratic opponent & every Democratic admin has had to clean up their GOP predecessor’s mess only for the country to elect another Republican in what can be best described as a never-ending cycle of stupidity.

Whenever the GOP is in power, they try to slash funding for SS, Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, TANF, the VA, dismantle the ACA, balloon the deficit to pay for tax cuts, strip women of our rights & make it more challenging to vote, yet people keep electing them, even if they’re a rapist & a felon.

Black enfranchisement was the last straw & the GOP has done everything in its power to suppress the Black vote since including purging voter rolls, limiting the number of ballot boxes & polling stations, and even making it illegal to hand out water to voters waiting on purposefully long lines.

The Dem leverage is they have all the hostages the GOP wants to kill under the big tent. The Dems can continue to serve up hostage after hostage for the GOP to gleefully massacre.
Some people fail to understand the GOP has no soul or empathy. They will watch people die just for a tax cut.

"Trump was booed at a football game!" Yeah, and that was fun to watch. But can the poor impoverished kids who are starving - who Trump actually went to court to CONTINUE starving - eat those boos? They can't? Well darn.

"Oh but people were actually starting to wake up! The Democrats won big at the special elections!" Yup, and unfortunately zero US Senate seats were up for grabs last Tuesday, so that meant nothing to the GOP.

A big problem with the discourse over Democrats caving is that people are ascribing leverage to Dems that they simply did not actually have.
Yes, they were winning handily in the court of public opinion, but so what? Republicans didn't care, they're fascists ffs, they don't care about the people.

What leverage? What power do they have? What part of the government do they control? Big problem with people about this topic is they're SAYING THINGS. But they're not true and it's laughable that they're so far gone in confusion with this that they think the crazy things they're saying are true.
Neither do the Democrats, if you keep handing away the leverage you have for empty promises from the Republicans. At this point we KNOW what they are. Y'all do not

She threw him under the bus they said but he knew about it and was fighting them. So he's not unaware of what his caucus is doing after all. But still maybe he is and he isn't at the same time! And he's fighting to not pass this because he hates it and he voted no but also helping to pass it! Lol.
Waiting for everyone saying Schumer directed this, to say Shaheen is 'lying' or 'covering for him.'
He was fighting to keep the shutdown going. You're just ignorant and wrong about everything you're saying. You have no clue what you're talking about. You're just yelling shit. You just say shit and you don't worry about it being true. Unbelievable.
