The quickest way I can tell if somebody doesn’t watch basketball is if they say the midrange shot is dead. Any game I watch anymore still has players taking advantage of openings between 10-20 feet from the basket. Like yeah there’s more threes, but other shots didn’t just disappear.

I thought the shutdown was the fight, did I get that wrong
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

These 8 Senators sold us out to Trump:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen

Understand This Fact: Chuck Schumer is behind this. None of these 8 are up for reelection in 2026. Schumer asked them vote yes—they agreed. He's such a coward that he folded and won't even own it.

And to the billionaires who think this movement is an existential threat to their corruption of our democracy: you're right.

Savor this moment, friends.

They couldn’t buy their way to a win. They couldn’t racist their way to a win. There are more of us than them, and we fucking beat them. And we can keep beating them.

It’s cool that Chuck Schumer, Kiersten Gillibrand, and Hakeem Jeffries just proved to every future dem that establishment approval is irrelevant tbh
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

Every business saying they're offering people a meal and adding "let's not make this political" deserve their asses on platters on social media. It is 100000% political. ENTIRELY political. There is nothing not political about the withholding of food money from citizens.

Anti-EBT people have never really struggled and you can tell. "OMG! You're buying cookies & soda? With OUR money?"

Like, yeah, dickcheese. Those are calorie dense foods, which is exactly what you need when you're trying to survive.

Some people need others to suffer so their efforts feel validated.

I don’t really understand the people who think we shouldn’t situate the current moment in context of the last 25 years in American politics, including the actions of the three Democrats who were president during that time

I was asked recently in a conversation if I trusted democrats to vote in favor of marginalized groups and push legislation/EOs if/when they get back in power and I said no.

I wish I had seen this thread and specific post when giving that answer.
Obama won in part because people were sick and tired of Bush’s approach to governance, including the attacks on civil liberties and starting illegal

And Obama promised change and then didn’t even stop the abuses of executive power

If you want to ask how we got here, we can’t memory hole that

Siding with Rand Paul and Thomas Massie on issues right now is the equivalent of teaming of with the predator in AVP. Not the good guys, but at least they’re not xenomorphs I guess.
Senator Rand Paul directly and forthrightly takes on JD Vance:

"What a despicable and thoughtless sentiment it is to glorify killing someone without a trial."
