I ride bikes to the places promised in the car adverts
My suv has two wheels 🚲🏍️
It’s been a while since I last posted, and thought this was worthy of a mention.
A Milepost on the NCN 482 just outside of Savernake Forest.
I’ve attempted this route several times but the previous trips have failed due to mechanicals or the route blocked by fallen trees.
Success yesterday

Excellent question.
Jennings: This salute trutherism is outrageous.

Rampell: Do it right now on TV! If you think it’s a normal way to greet people, do it right now on TV. Why won’t you?!

I left Twitter/X because it had become unusably bad. I won't go back because its drug-addled foreign owner is actively trying to bring down the democratically-elected government in my country.

This iconic Fabian Todorovic cartoon is still one of the best I’ve seen at illustrating the remarkable amount of space we surrender to cars, leaving little space left for everyone and everything else. The text added later makes the bonus point that many drivers still manage to complain about it.

I encountered my first #EV #FUD yesterday.
It was surrounding battery life
They were adamant that EV batteries only last 5 years then they are useless, but also that #Tesla change 10yo batteries for free.
So on one hand EV batteries are useless after 5 years but Tesla change 10yo batteries for free?

A clip from our new episode with Academy Award-winning writer/director/producer Adam McKay, who says that "cars are done."

Very important line here from Transport Secretary Louise Haigh on road safety:

"We treat road safety in a way as if it is somehow a natural accident. If the number of people being killed or seriously injured on our roads, were being killed in any other way, we'd be treating it as a pandemic."

PARIS: In the last 20 years, 44 hectares of Paris car parking has been transformed, making room for wider sidewalks, bikes and buses (15ha), bike racks, EV spots, accessible space, & 2.2K new patios/terraces for outdoor dining. 90% of trips in the city are via walking, biking & transit.

also have a test run of Auto Freedom stickers en route to the UK - just want to ensure the process is smooth first. Once received/confirmed will start shipping there too - finally!

Clear and simple 👌🏻
Imagine if, tomorrow, everyone at the Williamsburg Trader Joe's was forced to shop with a full-sized cart.

No matter how urgent their trip, or how few groceries they needed, they *had* to take up a cart's worth of floor space.

This is our city on cars.

Storm Ashley, the first named storm of the season.
It’s stopped me from any of the external diy I had planned, a minor inconvenience tbh.
I hope that it’s a just a minor inconvenience for you too.
As our climate changes, the likelihood is that things won’t changing for the better 😔

Statistically one the things in the picture is more dangerous, and with that in mind I walked my bike past them as though they were dozing velociraptors, it had the potential to have been udderly dangerous…
