Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running. This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

Viola Fletcher carried the truth of Tulsa—what was taken, destroyed, and never reconciled.

In today’s edition of Let’s Address This, I reflect on her legacy and the stark connection between the disinformation and violence that was used to spread hate back then, to how it’s still employed today.

The vicious cycle of monopolization:

2) Use their monopoly power to gouge consumers.
3) Take a portion of their profits to make political donations.
4) Lobby against antitrust enforcement.
5) Repeat.
