I understand that YouTube is the dominant cultural delivery method of our age but i genuinely don’t understand it. I don’t want video of my audio entertainment. I listen while I’m doing other things. I don’t even know what the use case would be for me.
The constant whiplash of being fed content where half the people are saying “we’re years away from AI surpassing humans” and the other half are saying “actual thinking machines do not exist” is fucking exhausting.

I frequently see executive dysfunction vs laziness framed as internally screaming at yourself to do a thing rather than choosing to do something else. While that is very often true, I rarely see anyone talk about how dissociation can play into the experience and how much harder that can be to parse.

When a chatbot gets something wrong, it’s not because it made an error. It’s because on that roll of the dice, it happened to string together a group of words that, when read by a human, represents something false. But it was working entirely as designed. It was supposed to make a sentence & it did.
