The British media need to stop treating Trump and his campaign like this is all normal. It's bad enough that American democracy is powerless to stop him. The NHS needs vital improvements to 'infection prevention and control' practice, and to acknowledge that viruses like #SARSCoV2 are airborne - putting into place controls and actions that minimise virus transmission.
🤦And in doing so, limit the spread of infections in hospitals!

Why isn’t metformin used routinely in acute COVID to reduce risk of long COVID? It’s cheap, effective, long-tested in other conditions and pretty harmless. Something to do with being off patent maybe?

I sometimes feel overwhelmed by helplessness in the face of all the media misinformation re Covid. I’m not a medic but follow informed doctors & scientists and just have no idea how the world will ever accept the dangers of being reinfected over and over if the media & govts won’t inform 🤷‍♀️

UK.Wore mask (ffp2) to hairdressers yesterday & felt like complete freak. Nobody else masked. Hairdresser (unmasked) told me how husband still has lung probs 3 yrs on from Covid & how young client has long Covid even though prev fit & healthy. And yet no one masked. Public health is dead. So tired 😪
