Earlier today I was listening to the 2006 Hyde Park live performance of Comfortably Numb. Gilmore sounded just a little hoarse that night. This one, in 2016, is spectacular. As good as anything ever gets.

I'm reading it now. Yes, Jordan Harper is a dear friend but before he was my friend, his staggeringly impressive lyrical writing blew me away. Well, within the first chapter of this thing alone, it's clear he's currently one of the greatest English language writers working today in any genre.

Just finished - THE CURE by @evesmithauthor.bsky.social. Thanks to @orendabooks.bsky.social for sending me a proof copy - with compulsive plotting, crackling dialogue and a third-act twist that took my breath away, it cements Smith's position as the queen of the speculative crime thriller. Loved it.
