I’m a week late posting this for reasons, but on Burns Night week, we did a passage from “The Needfire” by @mkhardywrites.com. The students (16-18yo GCSE English resit students, mostly non-readers, hair, beauty, motor vehicle, carpentry, electrical, childcare etc) responded SO well to the text. 🦌 ❤️
