Much like with Covid, I watch a whole lot of my supposedly progressive friends go blank eyed when I mention that his wife, his kids, and an entire plane crew agreed in depositions that he abused his family. Facts apparently do care about your entertainment.
Brad Pitt really did just get away with being a domestic abuser scott free

It should be beyond common sense at this point that people should keep their organisational and personal accounts very separate and treat engaging with them very differently.

Social media has been around for decades now. There's no excuse not to know the taboos of organisational social media use!
February 9, 2026 at 12:07 AM
If you're upset that someone criticised your organisation - do not under any circumstances get into an extended back-and-forth with them about how they're wrong and also just as bad as you are *from your organisation's social media account*

Bloody hell

These GenAI images to illustrate posts by "Gael" are not necessary nor improvements to having nothing there at all.

They are embarrassing, send a message to artists that Ungagged doesn't care about them or their work, and doubling and tripling down today has only cemented that message.

"Emancipation of the working class" apparently involves taking advantage of working class artists by using tech built on the theft of their work.

That isn't emancipation, it's exploitation, and I am absolutely done with it. This entire exchange today has been ridiculous.

ComicsGate writers and artists everytime someone points out their edgy art isn't actually good
He means trans people when he says "gender ideology." He's casting trans people existing as an inherent threat to free speech. What he really means is, he wants to bully and harass a minority group without pushback or social ostracization, which he views as impinging on his right to monologue.

Users want *one* other option that isn't Microsoft or Apple and doesn't involve turning your computer use into a DIY job or high-skilled hobby on the side just for it to work.

I'm still considering switching my laptop to Linux but, to me, there looks like there's a *huge* market gap for a competitor to move into either with a Linux-based OS or something like an expansion of Valve OS to compete with Windows.

I went back to Linux and it was a mistake

Half way through the video (16.23) he scorches his own brother's (Shadiversity) butchery of Princess Mononoke.

Entirely deservedly.

"AI is inevitable"

Ok, right, that's why the few big art YouTubers who had used it are not only turning their backs on it but also scorching *their own family members* for promoting it.

A reason to be sceptical about the Baldurs' Gate TV show is that the only time recently that Wizards have stuck the landing on a new Dungeon's and Dragons release was Larian, and Larian isn't involved in the TV show.

The only other good thing was the movie, which was great but lost nearly $100m.

Why I don't subscribe to any substacks and why you shouldn't either.

There's no good excuse why anyone is still using that platform. Blogging platforms are a solved problem. There's loads of options!

Picking the one that funds Nazis is an invalid choice.

I think after Martin is gone, the differences in why neither he nor Tolkien could ever finish their magnum opus will be quite a fertile topic for thinking about their differences as creators and authors
So one of the great fantasy literature ironies is that Martin rags on Tolkien about tax policy and military structure but his is just as flimsy if not worse
I’m half tempted to say the only Iron Throne contender who was a competent administrator was Margeary.

"We would have lost so much if we'd driven him away" is the justification.

But we lost all those girls. We lost the women they would have become. We lost the work they would have done. Why was his future work so much more valuable than theirs?
