This month, the Council of Europe formally adopted Recommendation CM/Rec(2025)7 on Equal Rights for Intersex Persons. It is the first international instrument of its kind dedicated solely to advancing the rights of intersex people.

Under the current law, people who are pregnant in Scotland have no legal right to end a pregnancy and this needs to change. We're supporting 'Let’s change the Act', Scotland’s campaign to decriminalise abortion and reform the Abortion Act 1967 - please join us!

Today, Public Health Scotland released its latest data on waiting times for gender identity services in Scotland. While the data is useful to have, it doesn’t tell the whole story. But it does tell us how appalling waiting times for Sandyford are & that they're just getting worse.

Our Policy and Campaigns officer Christopher attended the ILGA #FaceForward Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania last week.

It was an incredibly inspiring and energizing event, full of workshops, speeches and discussions with dedicated LGBTQ+ activists, building solidarity and movements across Europe.

ICYMI - Last week we, alongside @scottishtrans.bsky.social, submitted our concerns around the EHRC and its impact on trans rights in the UK to the GANHRI Sub-Committee on Accreditation, the international body which accredits National Human Rights Institutions. Read our statement & submission below ⬇️
We’ve sent a submission to GANHRI’s accreditation sub-committee to raise concerns about the EHRC’s behaviour since the Supreme Court judgement.

Rest in Power Miss Major, a trailblazing trans organiser, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 78 and will be sorely missed.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.
