As long as Democrats refuse to learn the lesson that they need to move to the left on economic issues and not to the right on social issues, they’ll continue to lose elections, their base will continue to shrink, and they’ll never build a durable majority. And America will continue to get worse.

Basically, Republicans want to curb the power of Texas cities in any way possible. Now that they've passed tons of anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ bills, they want to force cities to essentially comply with them and remove any possible conflict between state and local laws.

After MTG lied about me for weeks, she said that she felt bad for my unborn child because he'd have me as a mother. Her rhetoric led to threats against my family.

The things that I see Portland DSA and its electeds criticized loudly for are almost always (1) outright fabrications, (2) misleading, or (3) exaggerations.
Almost no one wants to fight on the ground of political disagreement because they know the issues are popular so they do this instead.
