This is BAD. Many countries assisted with building the containment over reactor 4. Because Chernobyl is an existential threat. Canada donated over 66 million dollars. Building this was an example of extreme engineering. That a drone could do this to any nuclear facility has been a concern.

I watched an interview where she said the Art of Loving album was inspired by bell hooks' famous book All About Love, which I read a few years after it was published in 1999.

The depth of the lyrics shows.

I also highly recommend the CBC podcast The Outlaw Ocean. Season 1 is excellent. Season 2 broke my heart. 😭💔

The stories of migrant smuggling, of indentured workers, of workers not paid or given healthcare or ever allowed to go home, abuse of other beings … the investigative journalism is 🔥
“Up to 60 per cent of the world’s tuna catch could be untraceable, or ‘dark.’”

Highly recommend this Financial Times investigation on human rights violations within one of the world’s worst-regulated industries. (Also read Ian Urbina’s Outlaw Ocean!)

Is this REAL?!?!

It was in the deep snow outside my work building on Thursday. It’s very unlikely that a person could have reached this place to create this. No person walked to the corner of the building where some cement is showing. The tracks are obviously real.

I wonder if a magpie tried

We end day 5 of #artAdventCalendar with 517 participants. which is..ok.

Last year, we ended day 6 with 1003 so numbers are way down. Not sure why. (Maybe...looks around)

but regardless of the numbers, the art is still amazing.

🚨 This is inexplicable news to share. If in Alberta and you want flu and covid shots for NEXT year (2026-2027), you have only until December 15 of THIS year to order them.

This is not incompetence. It’s a deliberate choice to prevent as many people ..

One of them is Philosophy.

The MOU with Alberta is deeply disappointing. It sacrifices climate policies, places too many eggs in the industrial pricing basket, proposes a pipeline deal that would increase emissions, and would have Canada double-down on fossil fuels at a time the world is moving towards clean energy.
