Santa finds bicycling a great way to burn off all the wonderful cookies and big glasses of milk left for him during his world-wide adventure bringing hearts' desires to children around the world.
He thought some comments elicited by our holiday posts would be good to share.
Bicycle memories do last.

Pulled this from a friend’s FB post…

I think we’d all be in a better place if we remained only familiar with shin pain from a pedal. 👍

Yesterday, on a Friday before most take off for the holidays, with -16C temps and colder winds, not to mention less than ideal snow clearing, there were still over 130 riders who travelled past this counter by 4:30 PM.

Hello Calgary 👋
This would be an amazing thing to set up.
I just got back from Japan where in many areas you cannot ever smoke on the street anymore, and you have to go stand in enclosed areas separate from everyone else. And I never saw a single cigarette butt on the ground in two weeks. We have a long way to go!

“The Honda began to turn north onto 32 Street N.E. while the pedestrian stepped into the crosswalk, and the car struck the woman.”

And it all seems to come back to this letter from Sean Fraser, stating for Calgary to recieve the HAF funding it must "end exclusionary zoning city-wide by legalising much needed missing middle housing."

Yet another pedestrian death on Calgary's streets. This time a woman in her 40s who was crossing with a walk signal. This article doesn't include the context that #yyc has surpassed last year’s 10-year high for fatal traffic collisions. We need to talk about this more. #yyccc
