It took a few days but I got through NJB’s video where he completely destroyed John Forester’s books & credibility. JF flooded the zone with BS & sadly he set things back for years.

Highly recommend anyone in safe streets advocacy to watch!

Extremely well put criticism of the latest publicity play by the CPS. There are so many better ways to improve things… criminalizing poverty is not one and pushes the problem into surrounding inner city communities away from what little supports exist

When Calgary calls on UCP to collect on its own the provincial portion of property taxes b/c their increases confuse people to think it’s the City’s action, it’s a hard no…

But when Rocky Mountain House and Mayerthorpe ask the same thing…🤔

The new multi-use pathway on north side of Bow River east of 14 St NW is taking shape… although it looks narrower than how it was depicted in the imagery provided. Seems like the idea of h-bing separate walking and wheeling space has been abandoned. 👎

@peopleforbikes.bsky.social looks at the problem of "e-motos" that are confused with e-bikes. There is confusion everywhere in the e-bike world; it's time to clarify and simplify the rules and get the too-big too-fast two-wheeled things out of the bike lanes.
When it comes to e-bikes, we need "clear, simple, straightforward rules that a nine-year-old can explain."
People for Bikes has recommendations for dealing with the confusion between "e-motos" and e-bikes. I have some too.

This comment to a recent CH article about the high number of pedestrians killed by drivers is classic car brained thinking.

Imagine if people walking and bicycling followed the same thinking?
