I can't wait until this *zz* story* is completely over and someone can write an executive summary short enough that I could bear to read it. I apologize to all other *zz*s, during the intervening time, while I maintain this wildly inefficient and unfair mental filter.
I’m guessing lawyers got involved. But this week’s installment had no journalistic impropriety, just a lot of Ryan in the cuck chair. I think this goose is cooked
the last Lizza post ended on a cliffhanger where Lizza teased a recording of Trump talking about the assassination attempt that would potentially "shatter our understanding of recent history." in the latest drop he reveals that he doesn't know what the recording was and also it has been destroyed.

Paul Ekman died last week - I found out via @hillaryanger.bsky.social on FB. Surprised there's no NYT or WashPo obit.
I took a class with him and he was friends/coauthors with my friend's mom. Hugely impactful on the field. Too much to say in a skeet.

We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way to get rid of Citizens United. Let me explain. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/how-to-get-rid-of-citizens-united

The Honduran-born Charlotte resident filed a police report after the officers let him go.

Racial profiling, no warrant, no due process; but what else can one expect from a regime committing extrajudicial murder on the high seas?

Trump's gotta go.

When a Dick Durbin makes some remark about people “not understanding how the senate works” I laugh and laugh because:
1. The senate doesn’t work. Not facetious. It’s rules are so bad that most everything functional is an exception.
2. What works is old rich folks collaborating.
3. Oh, we understand

- "match me with a curator who reads this crap, but who only shares the stuff worth reading"
- "send this to other people whose bubble does not include it, cuz my friends all already know"

This flew by my radar this week, but massively important: the 5th circuit court of appeals ruled that the NLRB’s structure unconstitutional.

It is a huge blow to “American workers who hope to organize their workplaces without fear of retaliation. It represents a partial negation of the New Deal…”
