As we ready our hearts and minds for worship on this Christ the King Sunday, remember the thousands of people being held by this criminal regime. This is America, and it cannot continue. Come Jesus, Come. Rule over the nations, and cast the mighty from their thrones. Lift up the lowly.

I’m reading #DilexiTe… it’s such a necessary encyclical for the western world right now. Paragraphs 9 & 10 are very striking to me that Pope Leo mentions the marginalized of society. To me signaling to not only immigrants, but lgbtq+ people globally.

Start an order of Poor Clares in the Episcopal Church and start a media empire devoted to broadcasting humanist apostolic Christianity devoted to the sacraments, with a liberation focus, to show the world the goodness of God, Christian service, and faithfully lead people to Jesus, away from hatred.
What's your absolutely unworkable plan to drop out of your current life (or at least work life) and do something completely different?

While the number of male Orthodox converts is at an all time high, so is the number of young women leaving the church is also record high numbers…

That is tragic… but even more so because early Christianity was largely a women’s movement—…the first proclaiming the inherent dignity of women.
The "Orthodoxy as Masculinity" Narrative
According to the New York Times, young, conservative men are flocking to the Orthodox Church because it provides an all-too-rare space that celebrates masculinity. This “Orthodoxy as Masculinity” narr...

Tomorrow is Christ the King Sunday… it aligns with the O Antiphon “O Rex Gentium” if you do 7 wk Advent, observing one O Antiphon each week. It’s one of my favorite traditions. As the church enters into Advent those who observe 7 wk are well into Advent season using the lectionary we already have!

I am an Advent lover and a big “uh it’s not Christmas yet” person… that being said one of my favorite movies is on Netflix! “Joyeux Noel” (Merry Christmas) tells the story of the Christmas truce of 1914. 🥰 lol

A word from Servant of God Dorothy Day… hope Pope Leo gets around to canonizing her soon. 🫶🏼

Only the most sophisticated of pallets can handle this culinary marvel… I pray the Lord evolves the haters’ braindead taste buds. 🍍 belongs on 🍕
my confession is simple: pineapple on pizza is good actually
I confess to you and to the Church

Thankful for the spirit of St. Martha today… a prayer I pray on weekends is “Lord, I pray today You will give me the spirit of St. Martha, so I will prepare my home to welcome You.” Because of my ADD/ADHD it’s hard sometimes for me to focus on tasks at. My meds + the Lord & prayers of St Martha! 🫶🏼✝️🥰

Happy feast… today we celebrate and remember one of our important Franciscan saints, St. Elizabeth of Hungary! She is the patroness of Third Order Franciscans among others (nurses, hospitalers, lace makers, the homeless, dying children, widows, the falsely accused).

St. Elizabeth, pray for us! 🙏🏼

Thankful to the Lord this morning praying Psalm 66, with a cool breeze coming through the windows and the smell of rain in the desert. 🌵

Did you know God loves you? He loves you so much He came to be among us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Go to the altar. He is there, in the Eucharist. 🫶🏼✝️🙏🏼🫓🍷

This is a fantastic article. After reading it I’m considering a few things (as a Catholic-adjacent person who loves traditional liturgy) 1. Is clericalism to blame for trad movements or is it actually anti-clericalism is to blame for allowing this to go on within the church? 🧵
Catholic Traditionalism After Francis
Traditionalism today is less about questioning Vatican II theology and liturgy and more about waging broader culture wars.

I think it’s important that orthodoxy not be bound to well known atonement theories and we Christians discuss it more broadly. I think a big turning point in my faith was when I discovered the diversity in thought in Christian orthodoxy. Sharing some thoughts below:

One of my favorite gifts to give catechumens and confirmands. I am so thankful that it is still in print and it is still such a cornerstone in my daily life. Fun fact: I owned the St. Augustine’s prayer book before I became an Anglican, I say it led me to the church as an unbeknownst witness. 10/10🔥
New level of Anglicanism unlocked.

I fear the Roman Catholic church in America fell for a gift bag of lies that was presented as pro-life, and pro-family when in the bag was really an idol to mammon, and a sleeping leviathan of white supremacy, xenophobia, and anti-catholicism… and those chickens are coming home to roost.

In your charity please pray for my small but mighty in their worship church today. We are embarking on a Day of Discovery with the Canon to the Ordinary. We are the only truly Anglo-catholic church in practice and theology in the city and we’ve been so since our founding.
