"Forgive, don't demand accountability" is a perfect way to maintain the existing power structures and ensure that nothing changes.
This is unfortunately a common response to even very serious issues such as sexual abuse. Never expose them, never press charges, never demand accountability even from positions of leadership. It's horrifying.

The new categories of degrees is an attempt to cut jobs that were pathways of upward mobility for marginalized groups (BW especially) off at the knees in an attempt to get us back in domestic roles, when we said "We're not going back" we meant that and said it with our chests.
