I didn’t say there was only one or a pair of humans. I said there’s only one Message of Christ, and it’s universal, humans suck and we struggle understanding it and doing it.

I think there is one Message, and our humanity, whether it be original sin, or not, our common condition, is the reason we needed letters of encouragement, admonition, and direction… and it’s why we need constant dialogue and criticism to see what we get right, and what needs further development.

The church has indeed botched it at times, but Christianity is in its infancy as far as religions go — we are being molded in the refiners fire, and we are finding our way, slowly and surely. Look at the change in women’s rights we’ve seen just in the past 100 years — very relevantly led by Xians!

I think if we use that litmus test the “real” church died around 150 CE… while this topic is very valid we have to be careful that we don’t make real Christianity dead. We are are in our infancy as a religion, still forming our understanding and exegesis.

You’re in NYC which is hostile territory controlled by conservative Pizzaists… so I’m unsure it’s safe to seek there. There’s an unwritten prohibition on it. 😔 You may be able to order a slice and add your own pineapple chunks in private. 🥺

It is a good and right and joyful thing always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Almighty Father…

And the Sanctus are also constantly in my head and heart.

Yes, quite a few. 🙂 The most well known being Clare of Assisi, Anthony of Padua Margaret, Bonaventure, Thomas More, and Maximillian Kolbe. Others are Margaret of Cortona, Benedict the Moor, Franz Jägerstätter, Maryann of Molokai and many others…
