There are going to be prominent Democrats and mainstream media voices who insist that we have to "turn the page" and "forgive and forget" and they should all be roundly ignored, if not mercilessly mocked.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

What in the actual fuck?
While Maryland Gov. Moore posted about Trans Day of Rememberance, his state was torturing a trans woman by denying her hormones and housing her with men--according to her lawyer--for 2 months.

All of this for "hate crime" charges from alleged vandalism of a trans symbol near a Catholic school.

The portrayal of Americans in anime suddenly makes more sense. It is if anything too subtle and understated compared to reality.

I hate the last sentence of the statement so much. We don't actually have to hand it to "people who feel left behind" because they no longer have white privilege, or male privilege, or..."
Ok, pretty funny of Zohran’s people to put out the absolute model of the sort of statement that drives Bluesky absolutely *insane* to be studiously ignored On Here because of the source

the takeaway from the Zohran Trump meeting is that Trump is a gullible fool who will temporarily bend to the last charismatic person he talked to.

Zohran played him perfectly but that doesn’t mean Trump is good now. He’ll go back to fascism tomorrow morning after he talks to Stephen Miller

Bit of disagreement from me on this, no disrespect to you by the way. As I have made it clear multiple times, people voted for Trump because they are either incredibly bigoted or fine with the incredible bigots.
For some reason I'm really struck by Mamdani saying (more or less) "people voted for both of us because they're worried about affordability." It's true, but where M means "and I'm going to help those people, unlike you," Trump hears "we agree on this issue"

People misunderstand this but it’s really key for understanding Trump. He fundamentally doesn’t understand or care about anyone else and it’s exasperating when people think the things he says indicate that he can be brought around on some issue. They don’t, the things he says don’t matter to him

Zohran Mamdani standing beside the President of the United States just said that the US is funding Israel's genocide and yet can't take care of its own unhoused children on live television.

I never thought I'd see something like that in my lifetime

Right in the bullseye damn it
Like whatever you think of Mamdani as an actual future mayor or conceptual national Dem, the kid has the fucking juice on camera

My prediction is that he’s going to charm Trump to such an extent they have to spend a few days cleaning that up, and makes Vance look like a dipshit

It’s hilarious to contrast this against the fact that members of democratic leadership literally called him as much on live radio.
Q: Stefanik has called Mamdani a 'jihadist.' Do you think you're standing next to a jihadist right now?

TRUMP: No, I don't. I met with a man who's a very rational person

Trump on Mamdani: "I think he's gonna surprise some conservative people, actually. And some very liberal people he won't surprise because they already like him."
