i think a lot of people who get sad when a character is revealed to be a trans girl or someone transitions irl because "woman is boring, doesn't challenge X" do not operate on the wavelength of the people doing the transitioning who often believe women are very interesting and women can do anything

The best time to boycott Xbox and Microsoft was when BDS called for it, the next best time is now. Focused, targeted boycotts work, this one is working, and all you got to do to support it is go play other games. Literally the least you could do in this moment in history

Like, I often hear "plagiarism machine that's killing the planet" but I'm very convinced that the copyright panic is actually *harming* artists far more than helping them. Strengthening Disney and Getty's IP rights in the name of "protecting artists" is a very bad thing, I think!
