Either Labour is in some kind of far right headlock that is cutting off the blood supply to its brain and soul. Or it cynically hopes flag-mania and anti-immigrant posturing make it look strong and patriotic.

I wouldn’t have thought many Labour MPs came into politics to strip the rights of torture survivors to be reunited with the spouses & children.
They need to take a long hard look in the mirror & ask whether Starmer, Cooper & Reeves are really the leadership their careers should be remembered with.

I have come to the conclusion that Keir Starmer is as out of his depth and has no more idea what he is doing than Theresa May or Liz Truss.
Won power and doesn't know what he wants to do with it and even if he did know is not competent enough to achieve it.

I can't help but feel that someone should be reporting the Cabinet to the Prevent Program, they certainly seem to be at risk of radicalisation.

I've advocated for open source software – proven, reliable, inexpensive – in HE for over a decade and interpreted the lack of take up as an indication of a risk-averse culture in university IT and management. Then commercial companies come along with "AI" and risk assessments go out the window.
find it mystifying that these completely unproven tools are being used for critical tasks by hitherto quite conservative organisations

On the train to Margate earlier. Lots of foreign accents and languages. I loved it as it demonstrates us as accepting of multiculturalism. Nigel Farage would have hated it...good!
