Every time I read something about the U.S., stuff gets bleaker and bleaker. It's really sad to think that so many countries (including the one I'm from) looked up to it and thought that we all should be like it. Kinda awful to know that there are still people that aspire to that...

Bluesky the social network was never supposed to be the product. This was a prototype/proof of concept for the underlying tech (atproto). It blew up past their intentions and so they've been trying to stick the landing since.
