Some people seem not to be able to grasp - even now! - that it's up to us to not sacrifice anyone in our own communities. Solidarity means everyone. If someone decides not to claim us- fine! That's on them and is out of our control. But these people will take any opening to eliminate all of us.

Seeing that carbon credits are clearly going ahead, for profit-making and greenwashing purposes, astounding exploitation of local communities happening, should we not evolve our strategy to also support of local communities getting better deals financially and protecting their human rights.

Since this keeps coming up: the US makes stuff. Tarriffs aren't going to magically make the US stuff cheaper in fact they may make the US stuff more expensive by creating an artificial shortage.

When I wrote my camps book, people sometimes had difficulty understanding how concentration-camp regimes were proud of what they were doing and wanted attention for it, even as they also hoped to keep many aspects secret and terrorize vulnerable classes. Anyway, this is what that looks like.
