Can’t wait for the 2029 Oscars to replace the “in memoriam” photos with YouTube thumbnails of famous deceased people making that O face.

Just saw Wake Up Dead Man and every trailer was for a Netflix movie that’s already out of theaters. A great omen for Warners, I’m sure!

Both Threads and Bluesky have this tone of “see now he’s coming for gay marriage I TOLD YOU SO” today and bitch you didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know.

My favorite thing about the new LaGuardia is how all the gates look like the physical manifestation of the SNL opening credits

Monday’s mass shooting may put concerns over gun violence back on voters’ minds, and have already lead some to scrutinize Mr. Mamdani for his views on policing. “He clearly does not understand what public safety is all about,” said Cuomo w/ @emmagf.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/07/29/n...

CNN: Hey Dave it's CNN. Could you come on to talk about the death of Hulk Hogan

Me: Hulk Hogan was a racist scab and a liar. He hated unions, Black people, and the truth and that's why he loved Donald Trump. What time do you want me?

CNN: Great! Well.... so we'll keep looking

Encountered two completely unrelated AI ads entirely centered around a person getting ready for a first date and having no context for how to dress or act or talk and also having no friends to ask and dear god did they get the second date or what? If society is crumbling at least give me this!

Hi, this is Meg Barnette, Brad's wife.

While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.

This is still developing, and our team is monitoring the situation closely.

The Times questioning Zohran’s experience kinda just boils down to ideology & racism but the idea of 33 being too young to hold a major political office is so funny. If he was a CEO of a startup that produced something worse than nothing they’d write a glowing feature on his new bold ideas.

There’s literally more journalistic value in a four year old article from @theonion.com than the entire @nytimes.com editorial board at this point. theonion.com/de-blasio-we...
De Blasio: ‘Well, Well, Well, Not So Easy To Find A Mayor That Doesn’t Suck Shit, Huh?’
NEW YORK—Clucking his tongue with mock disappointment, Bill De Blasio announced to New Yorkers that “It’s not so easy to find a mayor that doesn’t suck shit after all, huh?” during a press conference ...

I love all the handwringing about Zohran’s lack of experience when a 19 year-old called Big Balls has recently been made a permanent federal employee with the title Senior Advisor at the GS-15 pay grade in the General Services Administration.

If you rank Zohran 1st you’re voting to make every New York Times Opinion writer insane for several years.

While we marinate in anger over The Times, I want to show you two charts from the MTA. The first shows how much extra time you spend waiting for trains vs. the schedule. I've indicated who was Governor - and in charge of the MTA - while wait times grew longer. This one is very straightforward.

I don't think I've ever felt more like burning it all down than I have while witnessing the elite project to turn Zohran Mamdani and Brad Lander into scary, incompetent monsters while turning an actual incompetent monster, Andrew Cuomo, into a merely complicated fellow who just made an oopsie.

The Times saying last year they'd no longer endorse candidates in local elections, then immediately being like "oh but not THAT guy" 10 months later because the candidate wants free buses gives away the whole game. "Objectivity" means you break your own rules to punch left as much as you want.
NYT Editorial board effectively endorses Andrew Cuomo today in the most weaselly possible way. “Don’t rank Mamdani, and it will probably be either him or Cuomo, sooo…”
