“Weinman’s true-crime history is thoroughly reported, often enraging, and a compelling portrait of how misogyny and abuse have—and continue to—shape America’s legal system.” So thrilled to see WITHOUT CONSENT on ELLE’s Best Nonfiction of 2025 list!

White liberals are constantly telling on themselves with their Islamophobic bullshit. "DO U KNOW WHAT PALESTINIANS WOULD DO TO YOU?" Like... yes? I do? Send me memes and give me snacks, in my experience.

You can't pinkwash your bigotry when we're out here being friends already, you racist dipshit.

This feels like the same impulse. It was one of the biggest viral moments of last year! I dunno, I kind of appreciate hearing from the people involved. Feel free not to read it if you're not interested.

It feels like people are desperately seeking reasons to still think she sucks even though the facts don't bear that out. If hundreds of millions of people were saying something false about me and it ruined my life, I would want to respond!
Yeah okay but I don't think going to the New York Times about this is a good strategy for making this problem go away.

NEW: The families of two teenage boys who died by suicide filed a lawsuit today against Meta, alleging that for years the tech company ignored the danger of sexual blackmail schemes targeting teens on Instagram. www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-...

I was talking about this fox hunting analogy with my son the other day and it's like...well no the fox won't tell you how to tear it to shreds because 1 it can't talk and 2 it doesn't want you to. But women can talk to you and lots of women DO WANT to be in relationships with men

One thing I always want to ask these masculinity entrepreneurs is why men can’t look to women as role models, and can’t see in women models of human virtue and thriving that are worth emulating. After all, women look to men for these all the time.

The White House’s insistence on using Sabrina Carpenter’s work and image to promote their crimes against humanity is also them appealing to their base, which already uses technology to try and humiliate and puppeteer the likenesses of women who have autonomy, success, and visibility in public

Important to understand that sexual violence is political violence, enacted specifically to enforce class, race, and, yes, gender hierarchies.
I sometimes feel like they don’t want to end poverty or reduce inequality because they believe they’re entitled to a class of people they can prey upon

Notice: “work sucks” when directed at men means that we need better working conditions and higher pay. “Work sucks” when directed at women means that they should drop out and have babies.

What Did Men Do to Deserve This?
Changes in the economy and in the culture seem to have hit them hard. Scott Galloway believes they need an “aspirational vision of masculinity.”

Feminists of a certain age, I think (specifically mine). It took younger women vocally objecting for me to see how numb my gen. was to sexual assault that we expected to be treated that way & were more surprised she talked about it than that he did it. Thank god for younger women not tolerating it.

I’m still not over the majority response to the Aziz Ansari thing. The way it had even “feminists” saying “well that was just a bad date.”

No!!!! She told him to stop multiple times and he didn’t!!! It was textbook sexual assault!!!

We have not paid ourselves at all this year, but we have managed to turn a small profit! Which is good for a first year online feminist publication that pays fair wages.

We would really like to be able to pay ourselves. You can help make that happen:

Poll: Americans say “too divided”
Pundit: Dems are being too divisive

Poll: Legal system unfair
Pundit: The public thinks Trump should get away with crimes

Poll: Low trust in media
Pundits: MSM is too far left

Every time they see a nonspecific term and assume everyone thinks like a Republican.
I will never understand the pundit obsession with getting Democrats to solve "political division."

Not only is this what they're already doing, but Klein admits that Republicans will never do the same. So elections will remain constant GOP smears and simping Democratic promises of bipartisanship.

Isn't after the fact deciding it was non consensual because you feel shame about it,nand trying to find a reason to get the other person jailed the thing that the manosphere is so afraid of women with the power to vote doing to them?

If we want men to be less lonely, we should start by socializing them in boyhood to be part of a shared project of care. Give them dolls, toy kitchens, and tea sets. Ask them to help care for younger children. Expect them to clean up after themselves. Let them feel the work and value of care. 1/
When I see people complain about male loneliness, it is so painfully OBVIOUS to me that most of these lonely men are men who feel entitled to a woman who does that labor for them, who acts as their agent enmeshing them into community through unpaid pro-social labor on their behalf.
