I've found a good set of lists of horror movies I'm plodding through but I could use more horror podcast recommendations.
1) Audio Drama types preferred (Single Person Narration puts me to sleep)
2) Non-comedy
3) Non-Actual Play
Clavicular sounds like one of those instruments that you can only study at one school in a relatively small European city and most orchestras can't afford the rates so end up rewriting the piece for a flute or oboe or something.

The Cain and Abel sequence from the Noah movie but it's scenes of the various "woman loses a shoe and royalty marries her" stories around the world.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend except for the person texting during Your Daddy's Son at Ragtime.

I wish Animal Crossing had a "I pay taxes" mode where you can cut through the dialogue and other stuff that involves just pushing the "A" button over and over again while the villagers yammer and make some of the seasonal drops happen a bit more frequently.

I don't follow a whole lot of only fans creators but I do like it when I see the OF muscle gays working with other creators who aren't just young, cis, white, toned dudes.

This fantasy movie has a love song that talks about smoking pipe and going to the snack bar.
This is the truest love song I've ever heard.
Just, ya know, baking in a golden ball gown, the color of the sun, like anyone does.

We don't appreciate the Mainer accent in our larger American pop culture.

Honestly, the way a lot of people online feel about A Separate Peace or the Scarlet Letter is how I feel about The Crucible.

This is an example of something I don't understand and, honestly, hope I never will. Someone is wanting to make a full on proclamation of something they've been told or think they know, and yet, when informed the information is wrong, immediately switch to "not caring."

I'd like to use Kristen's point as a jumping off conversation thing that's come up a lot with the WH media.
Where is the dividing line of "an adaptation that does it's own thing" (respectfully) vs the idea of something more derivative or "why didn't you adapt something closer to your vision?"+
Having literally just finished the book, the problem is Fennell's belief that she needs to indulge in the weirdness that made SALTBURN popular as opposed to the Gothic ghostliness that made the book work. I enjoyed this as. its. own. thing.

I brought my sketch book to the cafe and can't think of anything to draw.

I don't really have the right adjective for this but the "slurs are the unpaid labor holding society" thread includes the concept that all white supremacy is Nazism and there are already too many thinks making me hiccup that I don't think I can process anymore

... why are y'all so fucking mean on here? I do not understand it, and I hope to glob I never will because I don't want to be even a quarter as dehumanizing as some of the shit I keep seeing on a daily basis, just from people on this site alone.

When you say negative stuff about a very broad group of people. Let's say people who eat breakfast, for example. But in reality, you only mean your roommate who wakes you up burning eggs while playing loud music, then it's weird that you're annoyed that the large group gets offended.+

I'm actually working on a short video about this based on a lot of the stuff I've seen coming out about Wuthering Heights, BUT

Patricia Rozema's Mansfield Park (...1999?)
STUNNING cast, GORGEOUS costumes, LUSH CAREFULLY CHOSEN sets, a score I STILL listen to today and yet somehow dropped the ball
Name a movie that has a great concept but poor execution

This is going to be a wide net, but pick any of the funny people who have never done serious acting from SNL. Even if they're a good actor, I think you need a straight man, or someone who understands that role, to work with the Muppets. Joan Rivers understood the assignment. Chris Katan won't.
sort of curious who would be a *terrible* muppet show guest host. to nuke myself from orbit, i am starting with gillian anderson
janelle monáe, ke huy quan and pedro pascal

This was a reply on a video of an Italian American showing how to make pasta e piselli, THE WAY HIS ITALIAN GRANDMOTHER MADE.
There's a sentiment here that's ...fine, out of context, but when in context, it's ...what the fuck? Why are you doing this? And then you go to their profile and see a ghost

Maybe I should start morning pages again to get this shit out.
I've worked out most of my life and I've never been a hot or handsome gay and I hate the feeling like I missed out on something because I didn't have a six pack at 19, especially with how The Community acts like that's a moral failing

The hardest part of things right now is the feeling like I'm supposed to be doing something and maybe by throwing myself into activities that I'll magically be Better and done with Grief and that I'm a failure when I sit on my ass.
Which I was feeling before but now there's a added twist of "fun"

There's a fitness influencer who is in hot water and I sorta know a bit but I don't really follow him but other people are talking about him.
In that, one guy was trying to call another out in a long rant about being progressive and better and ... which he opened by calling the guy the F word.

Another conversation I fucking loathe is the Native NYCer vs the Transplant (usually with the understanding that you either grew up in Midwood or you moved here two years ago from Ohio).
Today, it joined with the autism vs "passive aggressive communication" which turned into ... everything non NYC+
