Trump failed to stop Russia’s war in Ukraine. He started a tariff war that hurt market, weakened the USD, and damaged confidence - without securing any good deals. Now he’s caving to China in tariff wars. No production is returning. All he did was boost Xi and Putin’s confidence. Pure incompetence

I think the "left" (not Bernie and AOC, the online popular left) kinda fucked themselves with Palestine. People turned to them after 2016 because they seemed to hold some answers, and they ended up a respected (though not dominant) force within the party. Squandered the whole thing.

other thing is i think having the thrawn/warlord stuff makes sense for immediate post-endor, but this thought was more for when the sequels take place so like ~35 ABY once the New Republic is well and truly settled
the sequels should've been a commentary on counter-insurgency and democracy, a mix between reconstruction and iraq—the new republic fighting imperial klansmen (many of whom never lived under the empire) while just over the fence ex-imperial warlords are lurking in the dark, at the fringes
